YOUR GUIDE TO THIS VERSION
Know your table.
This guide’s sequence convention: A-2-3 highest, then A-K-Q. Some tables reverse these two. For wilds, rank aces high when identifying a highest or lowest printed card. Natural and wild-assisted equal hands have no automatic priority.
The rules that matter.
- Use at most one fused pair. Kiss is adjacent, miss has one intervening rank, bliss is equal rank.
- House boundary convention: ace is low for kiss/miss and there is no king-to-ace wrap.
- With a fused joker, keep two other cards and discard the fifth; without one, keep three and discard two. Lock choices before seen play.
From first card to final reveal.
- Before the first card. Use a 52-card pack without printed jokers. Pick a dealer, seat everyone and read the deck note below. Use practice counters.
This version supports 2–10 players. The deck note reserves any extra indicators or replacements. Smaller groups generally move faster.
- Agree the table. Set a base boot, chip ceiling and stopping point. Agree sequence order and tie handling. Read this game’s twist aloud.
Deal Different uses the stated house rules. Sequence orders and tie conventions vary, so settle them before dealing.
- Build the pot. Collect one agreed boot from each player, shuffle thoroughly and offer a cut.
The boot is the opening contribution. Later blind and seen contributions are handled differently; they are not Poker calls.
- Deal five. Deal one at a time clockwise until each player holds five private cards. Every player looks before selecting.
Ten players require 50 cards. There are no blind hands once this selection begins.
- Build three scoring cards. Choose one legal fused pair as a single wild card plus two other cards, discarding the unused fifth; alternatively keep the best three naturals.
Keep the two physical cards of a fused joker together so the table can verify it later. Declare and lock the selection before betting.
- Continue all seen. Every active player has inspected and selected. Take clockwise seen turns, with pack and eligible sideshow options.
No changing the fused pair or retained cards after play begins. Keep discarded cards face down and separate.
- Reach a comparison. If everyone but one packs, stop: that player takes the pot. With two left, an eligible player may pay for a show.
Blind show costs one current stake; seen-versus-seen costs two. A seen player cannot demand a show against a blind player. Optional sideshows are covered in Learn Teen Patti. A cap-triggered group reveal is a separately agreed house rule.
- Read, award, reset. Reveal eligible hands and apply this variation’s rule. Resolve ties using the agreed convention, award the pot and move the deal clockwise.
Guide convention: at a paid two-player show, an exact tie loses for the requesting player. At an agreed forced group reveal, split ties. No suit is intrinsically stronger.
