YOUR GUIDE TO THIS VERSION
Know your table.
The rules that matter.
- Eight-or-better low qualifier.
- If no low hand qualifies, high wins the entire pot.
From first card to final reveal.
- Prepare. Use 52 cards; agree blinds and betting limits.
Heads-up button posts small blind.
- Deal five. Post blinds; deal five private cards each.
No private cards are discarded.
- Early glimpse. Burn; reveal one shared flop card. Bet after the big blind.
The glimpse is part of the flop, not a sixth board card.
- Complete flop. Reveal two further shared cards. Bet.
No second burn here. First active seat after button starts.
- Turn. Burn; reveal the fourth shared card. Bet.
Exactly two private cards must play.
- River. Burn; reveal the fifth shared card. Bet.
Exactly three shared cards must play.
- Find both hands. Evaluate high normally and low as five distinct ranks eight or below.
Aces low; ignore straights and flushes for low. Different selections can serve each half.
- Award halves. Best high and qualifying low each receive half. No qualifying low: high takes all.
Compare low from its highest card downward. Split tied halves.
